Benchmark edition

GEO performance data, benchmark scores, and the cost of being invisible in AI search.

The desk

GeoBenchmark compares how visible brands are in AI-generated answers, across industries and against their direct competitors.

Our aim is simple. When a buyer asks an AI assistant to compare products, we want marketers to know who shows up, who does not, and what separates the two.

Who is on the desk

The desk is made up of analysts and strategists with backgrounds in search marketing, content and marketing technology. They follow how brands appear when buyers ask AI assistants for comparisons and recommendations, and they write about the numbers in a way a marketing team can act on.

  • Priya Sharma

    Digital marketing strategist

Priya advises B2B companies on content and search strategy, with a focus on turning what buyers are looking for into pipeline. She writes about how AI-assisted search is changing that work.

  • Isla MacKenzie

    Brand intelligence analyst

Isla helps companies measure how they show up in AI-generated answers and work out what to change first.

  • Sofia Reyes

    Content strategist

Sofia works with marketing teams on content that other publications, and AI assistants, are willing to quote. Her writing is about what makes a page worth citing.

  • Hannah Clarke

    Senior search strategist

Hannah is a search strategist who now spends most of her time on how brands show up in AI-generated answers.

  • Wei Chen

    Marketing measurement specialist

Wei builds the reporting that tells marketing teams how often their brand comes up in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. He writes about measuring that presence in a way leadership will trust.

  • James Calloway

    Marketing technologist

James helps B2B brands adapt their content for buyers who often get an answer without ever clicking through to a website. He writes about what that shift means for search and content teams.

  • Aigerim Nazarbayeva

    Marketing researcher

Aigerim studies how AI assistants cite brands, and helps marketing teams measure how often they appear next to their competitors.

  • Fatima Zahra

    Search marketing writer

Fatima writes about where search marketing is heading and how AI is changing the way people discover brands.

  • Tane Williams

    Marketing strategist

Tane plans and organizes large content libraries, and writes about building content that keeps working as search changes.

  • Marcus Rivera

    Content operations lead

Marcus runs content operations for enterprise software companies and covers how brands hold up in AI search.

How we work

Numbers come with context. When we report a benchmark, we explain which questions were asked, which assistants were checked and when, so you can judge how far the figure applies to your own situation.

When a figure is an illustration or an estimate, the article says so plainly. We would rather give you a smaller number you can rely on than a headline you cannot.

When we get something wrong, we fix it in the article itself and change the date at the top of the page, so you can always see when a piece was last updated.
